Green Trades Training Workshop – College of the North Atlantic

This immersive, two-day professional development workshop supports trades and apprenticeship faculty in integrating sustainability, green building practices, and Indigenous perspectives into their teaching.

Developed by Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) in partnership with the National Council of Deans of Apprenticeship, Trades and Technology (NCDATT), and funded through the Government of Canada’s Environmental Damages Fund, the workshop provides instructors with practical, classroom-ready approaches across carpentry, electrical, HVACR, and landscaping programs.

These workshops build on CICan’s Greening the Construction Trades Modules, open-access training resources created and peer-reviewed by trades faculty.
